Here we go

Ready or not Gavin and I are off to Edmonton Sunday. We will be staying there until our baby girl is born. Wes will work a bit longer in Calgary and join us closer to the due date.

I am excited to get the process going and to meet our daughter - but I'd be lying if I didn't admit a fair bit of fear and concern mixed in with my excitement.

Mom and Dad are going with us on Sunday and we will be camping with them for the first bit - then we will get settled into the condo. I may not have internet access so this may be the last update for a while. We will make an effort to keep everyone posted we just ask for your patience as we may have accessability issues at first.

Thankyou so much for all of your support and well wishes - we are very blessed to have so many lovely and caring friends and family. You are all making this journey much easier than it would be with out you.

Our little builder

Gavin was helping his Daddy, Uncle Jon and Grandpa build a deck today. He had a great time. He so enjoys to help out - of course all the others enjoy the help too!!

He is very busy and I am finding him hard to physically manage. The bigger I get the more he gets his way - I just don't have the strength to fight right now! Oh well - I am sure once he starts school the teachers can fix any problems he may have!

He saw a brand new baby the other day. We went to visit Melanie and their new girl - Cadence. Gavin was quite taken with her. I was a little worried for Cadence's well being at one point - but over all Gavin was quite good.

Our little cowboy

Today was my last day of work - so now Gavin will not be seeing so much of his special friend Shauna who has taken such good care of him in my absence.

We also have a place in Edmonton lined up for the next couple months - whew that is a load off. Hopefully now the bad dreams of signing leases and trying to find beds for people to sleep in will stop.

A morning at the beach

Gavin and I met Melanie and spent some time with her at Arbour Lake. This will likely be our last visit with Mel before she has her baby. Gavin really enjoyed the water and the sand. It was hard to get him to leave.

July 4th

Our weather is hot. My ankles are swelling. What fun!!
We have a little under 6 weeks until our little girl joins us.
Here is a snap of Gavin admiring some flowers. Curious boy!
