Here we go

Ready or not Gavin and I are off to Edmonton Sunday. We will be staying there until our baby girl is born. Wes will work a bit longer in Calgary and join us closer to the due date.

I am excited to get the process going and to meet our daughter - but I'd be lying if I didn't admit a fair bit of fear and concern mixed in with my excitement.

Mom and Dad are going with us on Sunday and we will be camping with them for the first bit - then we will get settled into the condo. I may not have internet access so this may be the last update for a while. We will make an effort to keep everyone posted we just ask for your patience as we may have accessability issues at first.

Thankyou so much for all of your support and well wishes - we are very blessed to have so many lovely and caring friends and family. You are all making this journey much easier than it would be with out you.

Much to your mother's horror, I thought you might like to know that there are people actually reading your blog. Give your beautiful daughter a big kiss for me, although in the future we'll have to lie about her birthplace so as not to affect her self-esteem.

(p.s. my Stampede week engineer has an ox cart heading in a very nice direction. I believe this one's up to Davis standards.)

Here we all go!

Hi Wes, Roberta & Family,
I have been praying for you and thinking of you often. It is so nice to have a blog site to hear updates (regardless of what your mother says). I pray that all will be better than expected and God's healing hand will be with the Dr's for whatever proceedures your daughter will have to endure. May you feel peace and comfort from God at this time. Take Care, Paul, Crystal & Family Quilliams

Been thinking about you a lot lately. Hope all is going well for you and your family. Can't wait for the news of your daughter's birth day. How's Gavin adjusting to his new digs?

I spent a number of years in Edmonton and enjoyed living there although I'm pretty sure I'm a true Calgarian now. I hope that you are able to get out and about and enjoy some of what the city has to offer. The market in old Strathcona is really neat as is Whyte Ave. My daughter Meghan lives just off Whyte and 106 St. so I get to wander about there when I visit her. She works in the provincial lab at the University Hospital.

Better run now. Hope we hear from you soon.
