Time for reflection

I was in the middle of writing a post describing my trip with Bronwyn to visit my Grandpa Bailey when I got a call that he had passed away.

So for now lets just say - I loved him as many of you who read this blog also did.

God Bless and God speed Grandpa!

I am so glad that Bronwyn got to see her great grandpa. I am happy for Cecil and I know that he is surrounded by loving friends and family in heaven! He had quite a journey and was a wonderful man!

We will miss Uncle Cecil, but we all know he is happiest now. My love and heart go out to you and our cousins. I wrote Lin and was telling her how Aunt Laveena gave a promise to my grandma (who passed before I met her) that her family would be included as her own. Indeed, we were treated like part of the inner gang, invited to reunions and birthdays... It has been a blessing to have these relationships so strong throughout my life.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It was so nice that Bronwyn got to meet her Great Grandpa. Cecil and Laveena have left an imprint on so many lives, ours included. We often think of them both. They were both so very special.

I have many fond memories of Cecil at Camp Jubilee in Manitoba and lots of lectureships. Truely an amazing man of God.
